I found a passion working with polymer clay. It is a limitless medium and allows the artist to remain creative throughout the process - I not only make stand alone polymer clay projects, but I try to incorporated polymer clay beads into my felted hat designs. I hope this display gives you an example of some of the uses for polymer clay.
I created this Icon at a Laurie Mika workshop. It incorporates clay tiles, beads and other embellishments on a shadowbox wooden frame. This votive is covered with a Polymer Clay veneer that was mixed with a translucent clay to allow candlelight to shine through This is a necklace created with a polymer clay weaving. The beads are incorporated throughout the clay piece to create a unique necklace This is another example of clay veneers on glass. Thin slices of clay are melded together to create a seamless cover on the votive glass. Polymer clay tiles helped to create this covered box. This is a mixed media box. It incorporated paper, clay, glass and fiber. This journal cover incorporates paper and clay for an interesting result.
